From a fantastic race in Montréal (as it so often is) to a track where the race is often a bit stale - let's hope for something engrossing at least.

We should truly find out whether any of McLaren, Ferrari or Mercedes have cut the gap to Red Bull. After all the testing around there over the years, this should be a good barometer for true pace on an average and fairly bland track.

Hopefully the others can continue to keep up with RBR. And a bit of rain like in Canada would be welcome!

I don't think we will see another race as exciting as the Canadian GP this season again. A bit of rain is expected on Sunday so things can get interesting during the race.

Today's free practice appears to show RB and Ferrari pretty much neck and neck, with McLaren in close pursuit, and Mercedes also looking promising -Hamilton being quickest in FP2.

Nozza pips Super Max to take pole. Second row is all Mercedes, Hamilton and Russell and third row is all Ferrari, Leclerc and Sainz. Should be an interesting start to tomorrow's race.

I think the Max Factor will make sure it doesnt.

Great if it was to.... first time since the 1968 USGP when Jackie Stewart won from Graham Hill with John Surtees 3rd.

The last time we had a specifically all English podium was Portugal in 1958 when Moss beat Hawthorn and Lewis-Evans

That was a treat, a good scrap between Norris and Russell. Norris comes out on top to take 2nd place.

Congrats to Super Max. An excellent drive from Nozza and Lewis finishes on the podium, his first this season.

Mercedes made a mistake pitting Russell so early and it was compounded by the stop being slow.

Karun is NOT a plus in the booth, great like Ant popping in but he can't get his nose out of Hamilton (that was DEF penalty worthy pushing Sainz) or Norris rear quarter, and he seems to make up strategy and get corrected by Bernie. Give her time in the box instead of just popping in and see what we get.

One thing worth noting, is there were no FCYs and no retirements. I think the same thing happened at last year's Spanish GP.

It was definitely NOT penalty worthy, like with Leclerc, Sainz pushed the issue too much and closed the door too hard, and if you penalise one of the few good bits of racing we had today, what do we have left in the sport

Karun I find far less biased than anyone else on Sky, Bizarre to round on him for bias towards the British drivers when Crofty is the paid up Sky Sports line-toeing sycophant for anything the British drivers do, Karun is way more balance and fair than anyone else on that broadcaster....

I thought Karun was good. He was measured and made some very insightful observations during today's race. I didn't get any hint of bias.

Need to see it again but felt like Sainz was moving/weaving a bit too much with his defence on Ham. Don’t think either of them should have gotten a penalty imo.

The rule that's gotten drivers pinched ALL season has been not leaving room, that was textbook inside to outside cutting off the others line. No penalty there than ANY other decision is utterly pointless, Sainz will never get the call for him cause he cries too often but so does the other car

Fully agree it shouldn't ever be a penalty but they call that ticky crap all the time. Either call it EVERY time or none of it, the FIA made the bed so now they're stuck with it

That was great racing between Sainz and Hamilton! Odd take to think otherwise.
