Catastrophe. I depend on Al and crew for the first and most complete news of the events I'm not at. Top site, I hope it's a highly temporary absence.

Its a software security issue, discovered by the web host, currently being dealt with by the website designers. As soon as Al gets back from a business trip to Barcelona it will be fully resolved. It has been back up today 19th April, but is back down again tonight. We trust you like the new look which is Access database driven. We aim to get an initial report up during the first working day after a National Championship event. It worked just right for Loton then this happened. Ho hum!

That's good news (I think, assuming it gets sorted soon) The new look was excellent - very professional, and the Loton reports were avidly pored over in this house. Keep up the good work, folks.

Not really a discussion of Hillclimbing, but more of a website - so I've moved this to Cool Sites

Thanks Chris. Correct place, but it does mean that the person who runs the site can't post here to say it's back on line! Eddie tells me it's back up and running so I'm pleased to say the temporary glitch is solved.

Message from the top12runoff team:

We apologise to all for the lack of site following a weekend that consisted of 4 exciting rounds. We do have a major issue at the moment with the new server that appears to be emulating Jnrs new car. We think it has come out in sympathy.
We are on the case and have been since the weekend.
Many thanks for your concern and stay tuned.
It WILL be sorted.

Good luck, guys, you're having no luck with it. I kept hitting the refresh because I thought it was my problem. Having got the first run-off results from Barbon (thanks, Eddie) it was one of the first things I went looking for on Monday.

In the old days you went to football matches and they gave the other results at the ground. We could do with a marshal's telegraph to bring in results from other venues. I often find I get to work on Monday and I'm the only one who doesn't know what happened in the GP/BTCC/whatever.

All it needs is a newsletter from a motor racing web site that goes out every Monday with the of the races that weekend, but how much detail should there be? The top three or all the results from the main events? What about the club racing?

Eddie tells me that, although they're still having some technical problems they've got a temporary front page up and running and are continuing to work on the long term solution. Whatever, the site will return in due course.
