1/64 standard/modified Polistil, Champion, Hotwheels, Matchbox
Does anyone else collect these? I have some 1/43, but shortage of space limits me.
Polistil made some nice F1 cars of the 1974-1982 period, with good decals, and there are one or two current F1 cars (Siku, Tomica); Hotwheels have some historic prototypes (Ferrari P4, 512M, Chapparal 2, etc) and did some reasonably accurate shaped ones in the 1960s which can be repainted, as can Matchbox. And there are some rare/expensive Japanese limited editions - anyone got any or know where they can be bought? Here's an unmodified Polistil Lotus 80 and a couple of repainted Hong Kong toys. What is the availability like of models in this scale? It must be reasonably limited given the propensity for 1:43 and 1:18?
