ganda123 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid

Volvo, as some of you may know, have just released in the UK an S40 mark II, which is the S40 but with a revised front and rear end. The bonnet's probably changed the most, but there are other smaller changes that you notice when you see it. I think there are also some new engines in the range.
Anyway, this car looks better aerodynamically that the old S40, and a better super tourer should they make it into one. Yep, you guessed it, I think (and sincerely hope) that if the BTCC doesn't die or the rules get changed to super production rubbish (sorry) then maybe Volvo could return. I for one hope they do.

I'm sorry to burst that bubble of enthusiasm you have there Ganda123, but unfortunately Ford owns Volvo now.
They won't want to enter two competitive marques. (Or more importantly, beat one with the other!)

Unfortunately I figured that one, Sparky, but I had read in the Autosport page in March that Ford were stopping production of the Mondeo and therefore probably would not compete in the BTCC next year. Could Volvo come back as a replacement??
(Somebody please put me right if I'm wrong )

I don't know about on the other side of the pond, but states-side, I've heard things about Ford combining the Mondeo(Contour) and Taurus into a single model.

There are a lot of rumors regarding the S40 and Mondeo future.

For a while, it was thought that the Mondeo/S40 would share a similar platform.
Recently, it became Focus/S40. Rumor had the Volvo S80 sharing a Taurus platform.

I checked out the revised S40 and IMHO, I prefer the older version. The new one looks a bit chunky.

But regardless, as long as the sedan races, I'm happy!!
