Elfin MR8A Chassis 8772 Help

Hello,
I am looking for any information and the whereabouts of Elfin MR8A Chassis number 8772. I would like any history and to hopefully get in contact with the owner if the car is still around.
Thanks,

trust this helps ..

Chip,
You need a copy of the Elfin bible: Australias ELFIN Sports and Racing Cars (Blanden & Catford 1997)

The car was delivered to Vern Schuppan as a MR8-C (for Chevrolet) & raced as a F5000 in Australia early 1977 (6 outings in Feb/Mar).
Shipped to US in F5000 guise while Elfin built the required Can Am shape based on its MS7 sports car.
Schuppan subsequently commissioned an ex Elfin employee to fabricate lightweight bodywork.

US debut Oct 77 at Riverside.

Returned to Aus late 80s.

You may be able to get photos through www.autopics.com.au for both the
MR8 & the MS7 (http://www.ibcholdings.com.au/cars/elfin/index.html
