Sykes in at Rizla
Teenage British Supersport rider Tom Sykes has been chosen by Paul Denning of the Rizla Suzuki team to deputise for Yukio Kagayama at the next round of the BSB at Brands.
Yuki has broken his pelvis and will be out for the rest of the year. Also John Reynolds will be racing a Gixxer at Assen for the next round of WSB, further fueling rumours that the team along with Paul Birds Monstermob team are gonna do WSB next year. Probly not with Reynolds though as John has said before that he doesn't wanna do WSB again, would want to stay in UK. |

Quite a big move up for Tom, I wonder if he can handle the increase in competition. Top 10 finishes might be hard to come by.
As for the team moving up, WSBK clearly need smore Suzuki prescence against the Ducatis, and Paul Denning can surely put a competitive team out. Maybe Yukio will ride alongside an experienced international rider such as Haga? |
