Quick Pole: Turbo Dials or Pit Windows...

What would you prefer to see? Turbo knobs and no pit windows, or no dials, pit windows and flat-out racing?

The pit windows were only good at the Hanford crapshoots at Fontana. There was really no need for them when the teams weren't even allowed to mess with the fuel mapping with the spec Cosworths.

of course the cosworth ecu's have what 4 settngs for various maps? most torque to most gentle or something- it is good racing strategy for the guys in the car, pit windows are contrived garbage- you have to slow down on lap30 is basically what it is, that's poop

One of my favourite races during my first season of CART was the nail biting finish to the 2001 Cleveland Airport Grand Prix, as Dario Franchitti was being hunted down by someone I can't quite remember, ( ) and JUST held on in the final few laps.....

Besides, getting people on different Fuel levels is a good way to promote passing, guys running light will find it easier to pass guys running heavier....Push to pass or not!

That was Memo Gidely that was hunting down Dario, in only his first or second start I think it was.
