DTM at '96 Macau Grand Prix?

Can anyone confirm if MB did indeed bring over one or more of their DTM cars to race in the '96 Macau Guia Grand Prix? Any pics? If so, who drove the cars?

They may have taken some DTM cars there, but not for the Guia Touring Car race.

In '96 it was run to Super Touring regulations, won by Frank Biela from Brad Jones, both in BJR-prepared Audi Quattro A4's.

The reason I'm asking this is because I believe there is a 1/87 scale Herpa model that is of a black DTM MB C-Class and it mentions the Macau Guia Grand Prix. I could be wrong about the date. It seems kinda odd for Herpa to go to all the effort of producing a non-existent event/car?

they weren't in macau with the c-class, some years before some 190E's where in macau

who was the driver on the model, they often had guest drivers in 96 like montoya and zonta maybe a personal sponsor

That's the weird thing, the model contains no sponsor or driver markings. MB would never race a totally blank racecar? That's what makes it so weird?
