Jordan-Mercedes 2004?

I always figured Sauber would be the ones to jump ship over to German power. If Jordan do team up with Mercedes it'll be their 8th engine manufacturer since they started F1 in 1991 (after Ford, Yamaha, Hart, Peugeot, Mugen-Honda, Honda, Cosworth)

Yeah I read that. It'd be good to see Jordan with a big engine, something they've never really had, but that said, they're jumping ship every year...

Presumably a new investor, perhaps Germanic, has come on board and provided the money for the Mercedes. It should be beneficial for the team,a s long as Eddie retains control of the operation.

Sauber will be very concerned.

Their only choice to stay compeditive is with the bid three engines - McLaren, BMW or Ferrari

Sauber-BMW perhaps?

But, really, why change when they have the Ferrari engine in the back... The rear isn't the problem at Sauber, it's the front!

That Ferrari motor cant be all that good either. It was reliable but not necessarily that more powerful. I dont think Sauber has any more power than Jordan. Ferrari had the best chassis tire combination last year they did not need the most power.

I hope this is true for EJ's sake. I would rather see them with a "good" Honda motor but whatever keeps them in the running.

Jordan is a top team- private and they pull off wins, mercedes will make them a real runner-their chassis seem s right on- I do hope Eddie holds on tight.
and Sauber- nick seems to be doing okay but they can't deliver, i wonder if they'd let BArichello or schumi run the car around a circuit once we need to see its potential because the motor most be onit
