Rick Kelly
I think it's about time Rick Kelly has his licence taken away from him. He is dangerous.

The "passing move" on Bright was not real smart. I feel a large fine and/or points loss coming up.

Three hits in a weekend is not appropriate... I would not argue with you pete....
Especially when they guy seems to show no contrition for the hits.... Here's hoping the DSO does something like about NOW! |

it certainly didnt look that good from Rick's view , I just heard him on TV talking about the incident but I didnt catch it so someone else is gonna have to relay his thoughts for me.
maybe a suspension for Tasmania is on the cards ? it was certainly a big shunt and I hope Brighty is OK. |

he said he had no intention of passing Bright and felt upset that he just cost holden the championship.
why was he in that position if he didn't want to pass? maybe Ambrose had a good point yesterday by going off at him? |

Everyone may make mistakes, to do it once is a mistake, to do it twice is unlucky... to do it 3 times borders on negligent....

Notice also the claim that the incident with Mr Bowe was a "turn 1" accident so isnt anyone's fault.... just like Rusty's incident yesterday I guess. No question the kid can drive... but can he mix and play well with others... on the face of it, at the moment, maybe not so much... |

After seeing Kelly's performance yesterday and again today any driver would be justified in not wanting to have him behind them (I thought Marcos's approach to Kelly yesterday was a little bit over the top - however after todays race it would seem to be quite justified) , I think it's time for daddy to take the keys to the car and lock him in his room for a while .

At the moment Kelly's head does not match his talent. Or maybe his head has well and trully exceeded his talent. Agree waith all said about his driving this weekend, not forgetting the weaving down the straight to block a 888 car anlong with the other more serious dramas. To his credit he was genuinly upset about the Bright incident but whether his reasons for being upset were right or not who knows, but he did seem a little shaken, not as much as Brighty though. Hope all is well. Something needs to be done over his performance this weekend.
ps Loved Ingalls comment about young Rick being a little nervous about him being behind Rick! Last edited by Orrcon King; 24 Oct 2004 at 04:02. |

That kid is out of control!!!!Marcos could sense that yesterday, thats why he "talked" to him but it did no good. Punts off Ingall, Punts off Bowe and almost(if not already done) totals Brights Car(that is one sad car) AND Jason is in the Medical Centre >>>>>>>Officials MUST bring this boy "to heel" before he kills someone.<<<<<< He is nothing like Todd, who is such a clean racer! |

Its disappointing to see what happened to Rick in both races - Race 2 especially, wasn't clean at all. There is no doubting he is a great talent, and has a lot of speed, but today was pretty poor.
I say, suspend him for Tasmania - show him that that is definatelly not the way to drive, and you cannot get away with driving like that. Back to Eastern Creek and he is as careful as ever. A fine alone probably wont alter his on track behaviour too much. |

I'd suggest that suspending him for the final 2 races of the year would be a fair penalty. Considering it was such a reckless weekend of driving from someone who clearly hasn't got the maturity to be racing against others at the moment. You'd expect better from someone who has won Bathurst twice. Clearly he is a very quick driver, but Rick Kelly deserves to have the book thrown at him for that one.
They need to make an example out of him through suspension, because that sort of stuff isn't needed in this category. A monetary fine won't have any impact whatsover, because daddy will just take it out of his pocket money for a few weeks. If he is to be lead driver for Kmart next year like he wants to be, god help them... I agree Grimace, his brother is perhaps not quite as quick, but has matured into a much cleaner racer. You'd hope Rick will evnetually, but how many cars will he take out & write off in the process? |

Here's an idea... hand over Rickeliminator's car to Bright for the rest of the year, given that Brighty may not have a car to go on with.... |

Good Solution there GTR. Keeps him off the black stuff and Not-so back in the seat.
So, effectively, he killed 3 peoples championship hopes this weekend. Nice work Rick. Maybe he should got to the school DUMBrell went to in the winter. |
