specials

I'm working on a project on unique competition cars - specials, any discipline, must be british based. Any ideas?
The cars must be unique and interesting.

Look for the
'Gripfast Special' an Aston Martin powered device from the early 80's late 70s,
ADA C2 cars,
ARK Racings Ceekars and lotus Elans
De Cadenet's,
EMKA Aston Martin,
I have pictures of some of the above if needed. (including the TR7)

The only picture I have of the Gipfast is abandoned by the side of the track, with a section of the body removed. will scan and post in the next few days.

I've got the Chudecki book but haven't looked at that chapter for ages- anyone remember whether the car's still around?- presumably the Aston V8 isn't approved by GA though......

A couple more- more Gp5 TR8 and Robin Hamilton's Aston V8 turbo- in French I'm afraid:

http://gto-racing.nexenservices.com/..._anglaises.htm

Anyone got anything on David Ellis' original Aston V8? (the one he raced right through the late 70's/80's, not the GT700 from a couple of years ago).
