Rallycross Classes
OK, I don't know anything about Rallycross so I think I could start to ask a question about the classes. Which classes/categories are there? And also which championships are there in Ireland and Britain? (ie, like rallying we have Tarmac, forestry, national, midlands, south east stages......brc, ancro, msa asphalt..etc)
Thanks Paddy |

In Ireland theres just the National RallyX c/ship but in the UK theres the Msa c/ship, BRDA, BTRDA and RSS. The MSA, BRDA & BTRDA are normally run within the one event but sometimes they are seperate. Then theres Minicross and Stock Hatch
Irish Classes are: DIVISION 1 Class 1 Supercars - 2 & 4 WDdrive vehicles Class 2 Stock Hatch Cup DIVISION 2 Class 3a Vehicles over 2150cc. Class 3b Vehicles over 1650cc up to a maximum of 2150cc. Class 4 Vehicles over 1400cc up to a maximum of 1650cc. Class 5 Vehicles up to 1400cc. Class 5a Royale Cup - Open to Uno (Regs yearbook 98/99) & Ritmo (Regs yearbook 98) Class 9 Rallycars up to 1650cc Class 9a Rallycars up to 2 litres Class 9b Rallycars over 2 litres and all Turbo’s to be restricted. Note: Space frames must be approved by technical committee. NB 70% rule for forced induction applies. |
