I'm sure you are all familiar with the concept of the eBay online auction.
If people would care to go to the ebay.co.uk site, and search for item 444807406, you may be amazed at what's on offer this week. I'm tempted. Anyone got a quarter of a million pounds they could lend me? |

Wow, £200,000, not bad considering. No bids yet Tim, so the price may go down, still time to empty the piggy bank yet. I bet it cost the previous owner a darn site more to build it. With the last drivers reputation there is probably a few cases of the finest Champagne & cavier in the boot, plus the added bonus of the telephone numbers of a few models written om the dashboard SL |

Only 12 hours to go and no bids yet.
I just thought of this, if every registered member of 10 Tenths would give 154 pounds, it's ours. And we could go driving it in turns. I would like to go first please. |

To be honest, £200k is an awful lot for a '70's GP kit car, I'd have thought if we looked carefully throught the classifieds we could find something even better for that kind of money!

I think to be honest the bidder is supposed to be paying about half the cost for the provenance alone, the fact that it has been sitting tucked away in Lord Hesketh's cupboard for a quarter of a century.
Thinks.. it's not that hard to find a running F1 something, even if it's only a late Brabham or something, for about £20,000. Now if every member of 10-10ths contributed £15.40... |
