Good, because I don't like the 3 week gap. Races should be ever 2 weeks.
Glad to see Britain is back after France, where it should be. |

Looks pretty much the norm, i agree it's good to see Britain back after France.
On the 3 week breaks, i would have liked to have seen a few more. It spaces the year out (remember team members have families as well) plus if they have some mroe breaks, maybe over time with a bit of luck we could see F1 drivers doing what they used to, race Sportscar, Touring Cars and so on as well. |

The down side to the British GP being so late in July is that it will coincide with school holidays!

Why is Australia subject to a circuit inspection?

because of the 'flying angel' scene at the first corner?

I can't see why that would be a problem though because all the safety features were more than adequate.

Or the Canadian GP, Monaco GP, Austrian GP, San Marino GP, Brazilian GP or Malaysian GP for that matter? All of these have much tighter first corners than Melbourne. |

At Melbourne, the first corner after the chicane is like an 'L' shape. That's what i meant mac

Could it just be time for Albert Park to have another circuit inspection. Every couple of years aren't tracks meant to be inspected and have their licences renewed, this could be the case for this.
Whatever, i wouldn't worry, the Australian GP will be going ahead in Melbourne next year. |

The problem in Melbourne is that it is a very narrow medium speed first corner. The track goes from being very wide(room for 5 or 6 wide) to very tight at the apex (3 is very risky). This could be improved greatly if the track was just made a bit wider. As for what happened to Ralph, that could have happened anywhere. Thankfully it didn't happen in Monaco. About school holidays, hasn't the British GP coincided with them every other year?

Its funny really isnt it , but this year not having the French GP before Silverstone , just doesnt seem right .
So it will be good to get back into the normal routine again. |
