Just booked a flight to go to the FIA GT/British F3 round at monza in may. does anybody have experience of going to spectate at this event?? i presume that tickets can be bought at the gate? any advice on the best spectating points? Is the paddock area open?
Thanks in advance

Last year we bought tickets at the gate. Stayed at the Royale Falcone Hotel, nice. The bleachers before and after the second chicane are good. Standing anywhere inside the Parobolica was fun. Great place to walk around the infield, going place to place, since it's like a forest. The paddock was open.

best (easiest) places are Parabolica and ascari (both inside), parabolica outside is nice but not as fun as inside... if you have good legs it's nice to go from Ascari to the 2nd of Lesmo with the cars coming at full speed in your direction

paddock is usually a +10-15 Euro...

no problem for the tickets, you'll find them at the gate

have a nice stay!

Make sure you check out the banking while you are there.

I've never been while there has been a race on! Only practice on an off day. I just went to see Monza itself!

This is more of a trackside forum thread, as you'll get lots of help from people who have been there for races other than sportscar. We shall do our usual Sportscar appropriate strategy; leave this thread here for 24 hours and then move it. Hopefully that will get even more responses..

Sportscarguy08 has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Is this your first FIA GT race? If so then you are in for a treat!

After attending select races with the Hezemans C6R team...its a great championship and something every sportscar fan needs to experience while it is still around.

Spa is also another one to check out after Monza....truly a classic!

Have fun
