Ford to Quit?

Just seen this on BBC Sport Online but they are reporting that Ford might quite the WRC at the end of the season due to rule changes.

Speed Freak SF should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Now I hope the FIA and World Rallies Commission will take action and realise they're doing everything wrong!

I heard on World Rally Radio this morning that Mitsubishi are rethinking their return to the WRC in 2004 because of the planned 16 round championship. Like Ford they don't have the budget for it

What is with Ford recently. Both their WRC team and Jaguar are complaining about being skint? I know with the FIA changing number of rounds and rules at the last minute does not help, but the likes of Ford can surely afford it. I hope Max and co keep away in future cos they will soon ruin WRC like F1.

Ford is making heavy losses, it has embarked on a major cost cuting drive to try and stem the flow.

This article outlines the picture for some of the Euro car makers.
