Winterbottom- where to?
Latest news in AA reports that 2003 Konica Champion for SBR, Mark Winterbottom, could end up elsewhere or in a 3rd car for the Stones next season.
Personally, I think that he should be in a 3rd car for SBR assuming budget, resources and staffing permit. But which franchise would be acquired for this car and what are your thoughts on the possible dilemma facing SBR? |

Franchises are easily obtained, butthey still cost money.
There are a few L2s laying around, the Romano/McDougall one, the IMS one, the PWR one.... with a street value of $700k or thereabouts, and a difficulty in actually borrowing against them (as if the loan was in default thru insolvency, the franchise reverts to TEGA) Its not beyond the realms of possibility to see another Caltex car in the series.... especially if the team wins 2 series in the one year! |

He's definitely proved to be a talent and going by his qualifying time at Winton (10th fastest in the main series), he warrants a drive with the big boys. Wether it be with SBR or don't rule out a drive in Larkhams team.

I dont think an SBR AU is a threat to the secrets of SBR, but a BA would certainly be

I'm not a fan of 3 car teams. But yes, Winterbottom is a top driver and should be given a go with the big boys.
