Whats Wrong With Tasman Motorsport?

Why would both tasman drivers, jason richards and jamie whincup, have both been linked to other temas for next year and there does not seem to be a second thought for the team that saved both of their careers and made them the drivers that they are. Tasman has stepped up this year and proved to be a very strong team. Why not drive for them again? Where is the loyalty in this series anymore? are they all just looking at the $ signs?

Who said there ever was loyalty. It's all about making money. Anyone that thinks otherwise is just fooling themselves.

I think out of Whincup or Richards, Richards said he would like to stay cause he want stability, so i think he would be the more than likely to stay

Lets not forget that the principals are currently funding some (most?) of this operation at the minute.

Going forward, this is not a viable scenario. I wonder perhaps if the commercial dollars need to be more firm before something can happen here?

The noise around was that Mr Murphy was to join Tasman in season 2006 if the nightmare with PWR & SuperCheap was not resolved.... and arguably would be dragging a big Holden lump of funding, and possibly even SuperCheap itself to Tasman....

... which sounds a lot better than a title sponsorship deal with Dodo this season that picks up around 20% of the total expense of the team....

The popular press said that $750,000 was Naming Rights from Dodo, if memory serves me.

Player Magazine, Cobb and Co, and Matthias Meats must be biffing in a fair few cents each.

Jason was meant to have a deal done today - team unknown, but one wonders muchly

Discount rate sponsorhsip seems a strange idea, it didn't work very well for Dynamik. Where's the incentive to step up to full funding if you've already got full signage for rock-bottom rates?

The way things are poised at the moment, Tasman are the coming team for Holden like GRM were in 2000, after the win at Bathurst and the r/up in the Championship. They can attract a driver like Jason Richards who has made himself with them and can keep him. Good luck to them.

I reckon that Whincup and J Richards should stay, because Dodo Racing would kick themselves if they both moved
