Not surprising. Street races will be few and far between in the post-Covid world for a while at least.

Auto Fiction article with leaked Draft 2021 Supercars calendar. Looks like just about all finalised but contract for Gold Coast still being finished and all dates subject to change in a COVID world.

If the calendar is accurate, I don't understand why supercars aren't embracing more permanent (and classic) tracks like Phillip Island or Sandown. The original success of the series was built off the back of these types of circuits.

The AGP must be doubtful if the Victorian Government insists on the quarantine model and not allowing the bubble.

So Sandown still might get a run.

2021 Calendar officially released. Only difference to the leaked Auto Fiction version is the pre-season test.

Early December date not getting a great reception from business on the Gold Coast.
Certainly doesn't fit the original concept for both CART and Supercars as a filler in a quiet tourism or events season.

By December people have switched off, gone into Christmas or holiday mode!

The season needs to be finished by mid November, teams can have a break before Christmas.

As expected no Albert Park in its original date and only a brave person would bet on November happening.

Add New Zealand and Wanneroo to the list of highly doubtful.
