Brown set to graduate to Supercars in 2021 with Erebus

A third Erebus car, or an acknowledgment that De Pasquale is on the move in 2021?

I thought De Pasquale had recently signed a multi year deal with the team, certainly 2020 and beyond.... I would think more likely the possible option you mention of looking at expanding to include a third entry for Brown?

ADP has been rumoured to replace Scotty, should he head Stateside in 2021.

But doesn't Penske only sign "winners" ?
This was certainly used as the reasoning behind signing Scott, Fabian and Marcos, to varying degrees of success.

Interesting response from Robin Miller re: Scott McLaughlin and IndyCar here: https://racer.com/2020/01/22/robin-m...da-racing-hpd/

“RM: It sounds like Tim Cindric is giving serious consideration to trying to test Scott McLaughlin at COTA next month and possibly providing him with a fourth car at selected races. He impressed Rick Mears and the team with his initial run at Sebring last week.”

With ADP Having a run this weekend with 888 Make him hot property and a possible replacement for Jdub at some stage with him also considering a step back?

Maybe too early to call but with a possible DRJP Seat and "maybe, I said maybe" 888 seat available, could be a nice choice to have.

Hope David Thexton has being keeping himself racefit!

Talking with a workmate last week, who said it has been posted on facebook that Scotty will be gone midway through this season to start his USA adventure.
I reckon Penske will keep here to win another championship, with the odd drive in the US this year.

Sure, but everyone knows these guys can't drive a proper race track ( "road course" ). Put him on an oval, where the bulk of the races are run, and watch him fill the bottom slot......

You are thinking of NASCAR drivers. Indycar drivers tend to be pretty handy on road courses, lots of talent from GP2, DTM and F1. Australia's Will Power is Formula Holden champ and runner-up in Australian F3 after all.

OK well I'll take that back then. I just remember when Scott Dixon went over there the bulk were ovals and it took him a little while to work it all out, and he'd come largely from single seaters than big heavy saloon cars.

Joined the CART series in 2001, won a race on on Oval. Won the Indy car title in 2003. Long slog...

This is remarkably non-specific with respect to Commodore participation in the 2021 championship.

With Holden to be scaled down ASAP and cease sales by the end of 2020, it raises rather a question mark really.

Well, of course it's non-specific re 2021, the Holden announcement was only made to the company's staff today. Many more discussions to come re external programs over the coming days/weeks.

Maybe there'll be a GM (not Holden) product racing in VASA in 2021, maybe not.

Might be the time to point out that NASCAR's new car comes online in 2021, maybe it's time to renew that friendship and just go that way?

Supercars administration should have anticipated this and signed many more than two manufacturers up to the series. Indeed at one point there were five manufacturers, but Supercars were unable to retain three of these.

I don't see why there couldn't be Commodores racing next year unless they bring forward the regulation change, even if it's without Holden money.
