I'll be generous and award it to Sauber for punching above their weight a bit. They were in the fight at the end anyway and Nico saved some tyres.

RBR. This GP was the last hope for Merc and Ferrari before switching all their resources to 2014, and got smashed so badly that it wasn't even funny.
Both championships just got sealed unless major bad luck strikes Vettel. |

Red Bull. Utterly dominant performance. Just a shame that Webber's car ended up as a BBQ!

Despite Webber's disaster, their pit stop advantage over their rivals this race added to that 30 second gap. Consistently under 3 seconds while some other teams went over 4!

I'm giving it to the Macs. Decent performance with a crap car. RBR? No chance as far as I'm concerned. How can they be 'utterly dominant' with a broken engine DNF.....?

I'm not sure what team I want to vote for here. On the one hand, the obvious choice appears to be Red Bull, not just because their driver won the race but because they did it so handily that it was almost like racing two classes of cars. On the other hand, there was yet another reliability issue on Webber's car which ultimately robbed him of a respectable finish. So, they simultaneously were outstandingly fantastic and horrible.
Ferrari had a good run in Alonso, but on the other hand you had both Mercedes drivers and a Lotus between him and Massa, so in a way they sort of average about on par with where Mercedes finished. Okay, so give it to Mercedes? Well, they averaged a finish of 4.5th, which is close to where Ferrari averaged at 4th, but unfortunately that meant they did good but not great. Lotus saw a great finish from Kimi, but only one driver finished. Hmm... |

How can it be that Mark Webbers car suffers so many problems.. The two cars are identical...
Still I have to give them my vote .. |

I felt exactly the same way. And McLaren nearly pulled off a bit of a coup, but performed as a team with what they had well enough to earn it in my eyes.

McLaren by default, closely followed by Sauber.
Can't give it to Red Bull because of Webber's failure. Can't give it to Ferrari because of Massa's pit "strategy". Can't give it to Mercedes because of how they got it completely wrong with not pitting under the safety car. Can't give it to Lotus because of Grosjean's heartbreaking airbox failure. So McLaren it is for getting two cars into the points and not sabotaging their drivers. Job well done. |
