Future F1 could be the most competitive it's ever been
If you think of the top drivers in other series who would themselves have turned down F1 just a few years ago because it was a closed shop {read Ferrari is the only game in town} now it's a completely different situation. Besides Ferrari now, we've got Renault -- Mclaren -- Williams -- Toyota --BMW and perhaps BAR {never count out honda} with huge financial resources, all having a chance to become the number one team over the next few years. So, while previously it would've been harder to attract the likes of Dan Wheldon and Sebastian Bourdais to coming from winning teams where they are, to mid pack teams in F1, now it's anyones guess as to who actually will be number one in the next few years. F1 already has, overall, the best mechanics, aerodynamic engineers and drivers in the world, but now that so many teams look like possible contenders for the F1 crown in the future, the top drivers from these other series will jump at the chance because they know they have hope. The bottom line, I believe, is that F1 could become in the next few years, the most competetive between both manufacurers and drivers it's ever been in it's history.
