IMSA had a good few seasons, now it's struggling, but it should survive. Fingers crossed

Exactly because cars are so reliable now that is why things will be fine. DPI had 7 cars at Daytona, 5 of them were on the same lap after 24 hours. GTLM had 6 cars at Daytona 5 of them were less than 2 laps apart after 24 hours. We almost don't need a class to be over 10 cars anymore.
The only race where I am worried about grid size the rest of this year is V.I.R. An all GT race at that big track. Might look empty with a 16 or 17 car grid. I know its sacralege for a GT fan like me to say this, but may not be the worst thing to bring LMP3 into V.I.R. when the schedule revision comes out this week. But that would be for this year only and because they are probably not a threat to beat the GTLM cars for the overall win after 2 hours and 40 minutes of racing.
