They seem to be doing the same thing as Renault did in 2001 - getting the bad results out of the way while their name isn't on the car, thus avoiding any embarassment at their own results. There's no way the team of people Midland have borught in can gel quickly enough to do anythign this year, especially as they're so inexperienced and (other than Trevor Carlin) not theoretically among the best. The Toyota engine might save them from last place.
Certainly it's better for Midland to have come in than for the team to have gone bankrupt, but it's a shame to lose another of the great characters form the sport. |

The bottom line is that Midland and Jordan would have been better than Midland-Jordan, but Midland-Jordan is better than no Jordan. So live with it.
