Mika didn't retire as such when he retired - he said he was taking a sabbatical year to reevaluate things...it's just everyone else knew he was going to retire.
Funnily enough he's still contracted to McLaren until the end of this year. |

Even in their present slump, I'd hardly call Williams a "mid to rear field team"! If Hakkinen were to sign for Sir Frank, I think he'd have a good shot at race wins next year; probably not a third championship (who can prise the trophy out of Schuey's hands?) but a respectable showing. I hope it happens - should make 2005 all the more interesting.

Mika has today personally admitted that he is negotiating a f1 deal. "There's no smoke without a fire" Mika commented to YLE - finnish national broadcasting company. He refused to mention any team names though.
During Rally Finland it has been rumoured that Hakk will have a meeting with Dave Richards. |

Strange that.
I've also seen Mika quoted as saying his chat with Richards is nothing to do with F1. |
