Unsportsmanlike behaviour?
It's no secret Rossi won the Malaysian GP and Gibernau finished a dissapointing 7th.
At the end of the race when Rossi was on the victory lap. Gibernau came up to Rossi and as a true sportsman sete is, extended his hand for a handshake to congratulate rossi for the win, And surprisingly rossi turned him down. I have to agree with the commentator here, Rossi displayed really uncharacteristic unsportsmanlike behaviour. Rossi doesn't wanna turn into a sore winner, does he? Really uncalled for.... Your thoughts? |

I find it sad considering Rossi and Sete were rather good pals before what happened last weekend.
And it is surprising behaviour from Rossi, who is usually always friendly no matter who it is... well, except with Biaggi of course! |

Don't you guys think it was still pretty rude on Rossi's part to turn down the handshake? I mean all Sete was trying to do was congratulate rossi, it's not like he was going to pull his hand and make him crash on the tarmac!!!
All this because rossi is under the impression that Gibernau's team instigated the investigations at Qatar? And he doesnt have any solid proof of that as well. Is it too hard for him to take that Gibernau won the Qatar Gp fair and square? Who does Rossi think he is? I am a rossi fan but i don't like seeing this "Egotistical ***hole" side of him. |

I would have to agree with that.
Sete was valiante in defeat no harm in accepting his congratulations no matter what has happened in the recent past. |

The TV coverage was bad, but Vale did wave at Sete as he passed him (he was cornering quite sharply at the time). The camera shot moved on so fast it was hard to see, but he clearly did acknowledge Sete, albeit briefly.

Think it is all just posturing dont you? But there is a thread of dislike there now, I think Sete is a bit two faced at times, coming across all nice when deep inside he would do owt to beat Vale, he is not dirty like A few have been.
Reminds me a little of how Criville used to be with Mick, calling him "him" and stuff. But he did give him the cold shoulder a bit didn't he!! |

Maybe Rossi has a good reason to be ****ed at Sete.
Rossi normally treats others pretty polite and friendly on the track and outside it, so my guess is that he probally has a reason to be cold towards the sometimes eel like Sete, I like Sete but I think he sometimes plays nice without being it. He has a fake feel to him, while Rossi is a bit more like himself in many ways, but he too is a showman, but it feels more like a part of his personality than something arteficial... Bugger hehe this is why I dislike speculations Just race and I am happy! |

Or maybe Sete is finding out what Max knew long ago - that Valentino isn't the cheeky but lovable scamp his fans think he is.
How can Rossi be angry at Sete when either he or his team protested Biaggi? |

Max is not very loved either...basicly I do not care much how Rossi is, he is probally no worse or better than most other persons.

From last year defeat to Sete in Sach, Rossi has not been too friendly to Sete.
It is one thing to be "amiable" and "funny" when you are the golden boy and you win on merit, but ohter when things go not so good (for a guy who is "adored" everywhere it's painful to lose some races on merit). It's not just from Qatar's incident. Rossi is a great champion, and he is most of time funny, but he has a little dark side (as Biaggi's fans know) that I don't like. |

Nice guys don't win world titles. However sweet they may appear on the outside, inside they are just as hard and driven as the ones who exteriorise it.
Rossi is no different in that respect. His own father has said, once the visor is down, there is nothing but the race and the winning. He's a driven, winning machine, masquerading as a sweet little boy. Having said that, I still am sure that he did in fact acknowledge Sete (albeit briefly) on the cool down lap. |
