I dont hate him, he makes it easier for JT to take his first win of the year and fair play to the lad after the miserable start he has had.
Was good being there yesterday, the support for James was superb, arguably even more than for Chris. Laconi has always been a very inconsistent rider who can win and crash, it is why he never got on in GP and can be a contender but never a champion in WSB. I hope this means that James now will have the upper hand and try and win more races, he cant really catch the Suzooks but more wins would be nice. Shame that us Brits without satellite telly have to wait until 2.30am to watch it, is a complete joke! Letter to C4 duly despatched for the pathetic efforts. Including the "not every muppet in the country wants to watch cricket or Big Brother, and at least in bike racing the race isnt over three days before it is due t finish!!!" |

Great couple of races, shame I missed the first one. Great to see the Suzuki's not winning week in week out IMO, good weekend for the Ducati boys, always good to see Toseland back up at the front of the field.

The last 2 rounds suggest that it won't be a Suzuki whitewash anymore, although you wonder whether Troy already has too big a lead, especially as the others are strugglign for consistency. I still think Chris Vermeulen is the most likely rival over the course of the season. It's also good to see Nitro Nori back in the hunt, easily the fastest Yamaha rider this time - not for the first time Cardoso humbled a few factory guys in qualifying but struggled in the races. Well done to Chris Walker as well, although Bussei's 8th in race 1 backs up his suggestion that the Silverstone setup suits the Kawasakis.

I was at this meeting last year, was a let down sitting back this year watching the races on TV, even the Aussies couldn't pull off a win....
And why were they using the International Circuit, made the long thing seem like a tarted national meeting (no offence to the BSB boys, they provided me plenty of entertainment whilst i was there last year). It is interesting that both the FIA GT/WTCC circus and the World Superbike circus both chose to use the International circuit rather than the Grand Prix circuit (and at the same time the BTCC is leaving the International circuit for the National circuit). What is going on? |

It is weird guys how some of the major makers do not support the WSS series. I think you can blame Ten Kate for this a bit as their bikes really have been a class of their own for some time now and as a result they get the best riders.
Suzuki are waiting for the new Gixxer and giving their protege a start on the current bike. Imagine their team will be him and that Xavier bloke next year. Strange about Kawasaki aswell, think Kwak are only intersted in letting Eckl do anything in Europe and as he is doing GP then Kwak Japan dont bother Even Hawk dont get that much help, or Chris and Bertocchi. Is it right Cardoso hasnt even scored any points yet! Agree with Boots abou Haga too, think they have found something in the setup coz he shot to the front and Pitty stayed about where he has been. Shame for Chris though he didnt seem to have the pace to catch up. Maybe like everyone else he was shocked to find the meeting was held on the tiddly wink track instead of the proper one! |
