A Ford 1-2-3?
As the weekend get's closer and another FORD Championship is in the bag, the smile on my dial just gets bigger
What could make me happier? A FORD 1-2 would be great Even better, a FORD 1-2-3 would be the icing on the cake It's going to be a long awful weekend for a lot of supporters but hang in there, we did when Holden was winning everything, but that's in the distant past, consigned to History books. These are my feelings, feel free to post yours about FORDS dominance this year. Please keep it on Topic |

Can I speak for a moment about Ford melting at Bathurst again (With a full front row and Lowndes as favourite) the history books are very dusty from their last win 8 seasons ago!!!
Also, Ambrose smearing blue paint on a Holden at just about every round? FPRs stellar season again.... not! Anyway, well done to Ford, but Holden will dominate in 2006! |

Is suspect that more people will remember the champsionship winner!
Off the top of your head, which comes to mind first, Bathurst 99 winner or SCS 99 winner? Bathurst 2001 or SCS 2001 winner? I know that Craig Lowndes championship win is a heck of a lot more memorable, than some obscure thing Wynn's Gibson racing??? Who the hell are they, more people would ask! Most people know that Skaifey won the 01 series, but they will be scratching their heads to rememeber that Tony Long Legs won Bthurst. |

I've said it before and I'll say it again......the championship is more valuable than Bathurst. Only 1 driver wins the championship each year and he is always a class act, whereas 2 drivers win Bathurst and some of those co-drivers have been pretty ordinary steerers and that dilutes it's value.

Got to feel a little sorry for the Holden guys at this time of year. If only their lot didn't stuff up as much earlier on they could have had a shot. Blame who ever you want (as they usually do) I don't care.
Off into the corner and polish the Bathurst trophy guys, yesterdays news. Championship time now people and another Ford 1&2 would be great. If a top three comes off even better. I'd like to see Ingal win it as he's been so close before. |

Hmm, where is Deeks, I seem to recall some whinging about parity some time ago.
That aside, it will be great to see Ingall win a championship. |

Ingall to win the Championship.
Interesting that two of the first three drivers in the points used to be with Holden. Fancy that... I support the driver more than the car btw. |

Hmm, Ford 123 in championship, 123 on the grid, I see a pattern forming here. If I where a Holden fan, i'd take a look at sharpening the mower blades Sunday arvo
Matt, also interesting that this is Ingalls worst winning year in his history yet he's in the top Ford team. The Ford bred Moses walks all over him Lowndes is all class though, no two ways about that. |

Ingall didn't win the most battles, but he won the war.
Agreed about Lowndes though. |

Great result for Ford to pull of a 1-2-3 result for the year.
It was without a doubt one of the toughest championships ever, and Ingall, Lowndes and Ambrose finally showed what a good team can do with a Falcon. All I can say is bring on the battle in 2006. |

And I guess we need, at this point, to thank all the Holden teams and drivers for ensuring that their (faster, ask Craig Lowndes) cars were driven and managed so badly and inconsistently for some of the year (even if they did win more races). Long may it continue |

Sweet Victory > FORD FALCONS 1,2,3 2005 Champs and Holden fails in it bid to stop this happening-HRT failed at their test track and HSVDT couldnt peg back the mighty Falcon of Ambrose who is a two yearly visitor yet young Kelly fades, Tander fades, Skaife fades, Todd fades at their NOMINATED TEST TRACK!

And they let James Courtney go...watch him make them pay for that.
The early deeks prediction - Top 3 in Title 06 - perhaps even a "surprise" winner. |

Congratulations to SBR and Russell. Russ was certainly the happiest winner of the Championship that I can recall. Good on him - even if he did have to curb his normally aggressive style of racing to work the point-scoring system to his advantage.
Congratulations to Ford for its 1,2,3. Congratulations to Ford for winning three in a row. To those people on here crowing about how their brand won: Enjoy. You've certainly had some lean years to overcome prior to '03. As a Holden supporter, I'd have preferred another Holden championship win or two, but it wasn't to be, despite some occasionally great racing from different Holden drivers. There just wasn't one Holden driver able to shine amongst them to amass enough points on his own. I enjoy seeing some of the crowing from some of you. It makes a change from thousands of negative posts bleating about a centimeter or three on an undertray, how the AU needed more concessions, etc. The two makes of competing cars have now been 'identicalised' to the point where the differences are almost imperceptible (and there's still more to come), and finally the results (qualifying times, race wins, round wins) are as even as they can be - and Ford fans are rejoicing that their brand of car is now somehow miraculously better. I'd say that SBR are better, 888 are getting there, and there's a pretty motley lot of teams trying to work out how to get their Fords to go like those two after that. Congrats again to SBR and also to 888. You've been the class teams this year. To those Ford fans carrying on about how marvellous the blue oval has suddenly become: I hope TC appreciates how much you enjoy his show. |
