It was Franchitti's car at Elkhart Lake...it had a Honda motor so I guess that must be 3 years ago, doubt they've changed that much since?

The bottom line is. To many drivers chasing to few seats. Also now the risk to life and limb is so slight, to many drivers are staying to long. AD has a very good well paid job doing something he wants to and still has a chance, if slim of getting a race drive in the future. To leave F1 right now would be lunacy.

Rennen, have you read Peter Windsor's article in December 2005's F1 Racing magazine about Anthony Davidson's loyalty to Honda? If so, what do you think of it?

I emiled him about it actually...It was badly researched he should have spoken to Ant really. I took Peter to task over his comment that 'we' should have put more money up to back him...I pointed out it took me 25 years to pay off my mortgage and the the thousands I spent on 8 years of his karting was the foundation that I gave to anyone in the future to build upon without having to pay for him to drive wealthy teams cars as well!

As regards his comments about the Minardi outtings I couldn't believe what I read! 'I' had to tell him Ant rang it's F***ing neck!

PW has fallen in my estimation now as a serious scribe!

Reading www.pitpass.com article Jerez-Honda round up reminded me that Michelin are dead chuffed Ant stayed on board as they like working with him too.

Kirk has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!

I find most of his monologues that we see on SpeedTV to be generally off the mark and sometimes bordering on the outrageous. I suppose he (and his employers) think it is necessary to get/keep viewers but as Rennen says the knowledgable fan gets turned off pretty quickly.

Yeah, I think im right in saying that in the time JV was away the lap times had dropped by over 3 seconds a lap. It was practically a different class.
