pretty typical of murf, but it does make you wonder if perhaps glenn's new engine did have a mid-corner "cough"..

I don't subscribe to conspiracy theories.
I think it's just the comments of someone who has seen their title hopes disappear. Murph has been struggling since the first lap of practice at EC. |

Murphy is a clown, I see he wouldn't admit fault with Seton incident. Poor Murphy everyone picks on him. Maybe it's cause drivers like he and Tander can not pass another contender without punting them off

I really hope Ambrose wins today, he deserves the Championship and on top of it all he comes across as a really nice bloke something that is a rare trate in V8's these days

As a holden supporter it was pretty clear that murph was at fault and admit the only one who stuffed his chances up is HIMSELF!!

Telstra did a long interview with Marcos yesterday - very interesting. After this weekend he is puting the bike in the F100 and heading off for a get away month - growing a beard and just relaxing. He is restoreing a back hoe for the farm. (20 acres)and a nice touch is he has his mother at the Creek this weekend. He also mentioned he does not do any work on the car at all - says he is not mechanically minded.

So, what, Murpy is trying to insinuate that Seton "fell on his sword" so to speak?
Sorry, i might have moments of stupidity, but that's over the top. Maybe Murph needs to actually see a replay, and understand that the B-pillar and the rear corner of the car are NOT interchangable as passing reference points. Grow up Murph, you stuffed it, plain & simple. Oh, and the brake pedal's the one in the middle mate.... you can use that to avoid hitting people, i'd heard. |

Murphy was right by the looks of it, Ingall's tactics where ordinary.

Evomike, are you serious? Did YOU read the article? Let me quote....
" Murphy would not admit fault in his affair with the Ford driver, Seton. "Let's just say there were some questionable tactics out there today," he said. "As for the championship, well, I'm bitterly disappointed." " Is that the statement of a man who knows he's in the wrong? I think not. The article's author believes he was in the wrong, but murph doesn't seem to share the same viewpoint. So, is Murph really trying to tell us that Seton kamikaze'd it like a football player milking for a free kick? I'd bloody hope not, and if that's the case, then he's the only one sees it that way. Mind you, after previous incidents and an "I'd do it again" attitude, we can hardly be surprised. |

He has said he blames his whole weekend on himself and not performing when he should have. Give credit where credit is due. As for the article you refer to, I read a piece of garbage that had little journalistic value and was only designed to be inflammatory. No driver in the V8 supercar category could stand up and say that they have never stood up and said I didn't do it when they clearly did. They all have done so at one time or another. You seem incensed by Murph, yet you don't seem too worried about Ingalls denial hmmmmmmm |

I'm keeping the 2 separate, one has nothing to do with the other.
You asked if i'd read the article, i'd assumed (perhaps incorrectly) it was the one linked in the first post. That's the one i quoted, and i'm assuming (again, perhaps incorrectly) that the journalist was quoting Murph. What has Ingall/Skaife to do with this? Nothing. I hyave posted comments about that one where appropriate. |

Why the huge difference in the two articles? In the first one he sounds like the Murph we all know, and the second he sounds like a disappointed bloke, just copping it on the chin (but slightly confused about who he hit.)
Just goes to show how selective editing can be used by the media to give us different impressions, the fact that the second article is (supposedly) from his own pen, I'd tend to believe that one. |

Sorry, Evomike, just read the other article, and yeah, he does seem a bit "Oh, well, not a lot i can do about it", but there's an important error.... surely he knows the difference between Glen Seton & Steve Johnson's cars?
If he's gonna write stuff, might pay to get the facts right.... or step away from the keyboard for a while and let the adrenaline ebb a little. |
