There used to be a nice idea at the Isle of Man in the seventies, they may still do it now. At the Southern 100 motor cycle races, ( a road race round four villages ) a local company would sponsor a race. They would organise a collection in their factory and the money would be split evenly between the competitors and handed out in envelopes when the riders were waiting on the grid for the start. A good job there wasn't too much change, it could have been a bit uncomfortable.
