I am glad to tell you that www.race-rally.be will have the results as it happens (+live video broadcast!).
I am considering a visit to Spa tommorow, as entry prices are very cheap to see all the action (F3/F.Ford/Clio Clup/Belcar/...) |

It's supposed to start in 10 minuts (15:00 CET/14:00 BST/13:00 GMT), but the start has been delayed by another 10 minuts because there are still 2 Ford Clio's upside down in the bus stop chicane :-)
(so start should be in 20 minuts when I'm writing this) quality is bad though, but you can hear the commentators (wich will be english+french during F3, I promise :-)). |

Nahhhhh Davidson doesn't really impress me that much....i think that bruce has done really well - infact he seems to be coming up with some really good results lately! I reckon he could even take the challenge to Davidson for next years championship!? along with Courtney and Lotterer if they are staying too!

I heard Davidsons nickname is "the prawn" in the F3 paddock... not particularily newsworthy I know but I thought I'd pass it on. He certainly seems odds on fave for next years title unless Manor can get a decent driver. Jaguar are packing up F3 so the story goes, wonder whether the F3 team will buy itself out?

I have to agree with Stephen Green that young Ant is doing extremely well! He is clearly a match for Sato-san, despite this being his first season in F3.
OK so he took a while to find his form, but from round 5 onwards he has scored 209 points compared to Sato's 245 and in that time he's had 6 wins ( 8 if you count the international races at Pau and Spa) and 6 fastest laps. Oh,and not forgetting 7 poles so far this year compared to Sato's figure of 5 poles. Pretty impressive by my reckoning! |

Yes Mike, I have to agree with you, but I bet he goes un noticed while Sato gets the Jordan seat next year or the year after!

Well davidson is one of the BAR test drivers......so he hasn't really gone unnoticed - and isn't he due a test in the Mclaren as part of his prize for winning the BRDC young driver of the year award. To me though there are better people in that f3 paddock - that don't get any recognition at all compared to davidson and sato!

ok right given the right car and chance to race i think:
bruce joanny ryan dalziel milos pavlovic andre lotterer nick kiesa andy priaulx there are probably more .......i just can't think of them but they are all capable of winning and if given the chance i think would b able to compete with the carlins! |

Why do you say that stephen??? what i'm trying to say is that i think if those drivers i listed had the same car as davidson then they would be acheiving the same results as him!

Exactly, so by that you are saying you don't think much of his ability. Anyhow, in all formulas there are the good and bad teams, sadly I must say. Of all the drivers in the current F3 crop I really rate Sato and think he will be the one to go on to greater things. Probably helped by his backing from Honda I agree, but he does look a class act.

I agree with you Stephen that Sato is probably the best Japanese driver we've seen for some time and I'm sure he's destined for F1. But I cannot accept that Davidson is no better than the rest of the bunch in F3. He was BRDC young driver of the year - I guess the judges recognised his talent, and that was before he'd raced for Carlin.
And regarding his F1 testing for BAR, I understand he was quicker than Sato in his first outing at Mugello! Must be some sort of indication of his ability. |
