YAUSS: Scores for FIM GPs
YAUSS = Yet Another Useless Score System
Last year I think I put here this little system I like. So maybe I will eventually put scores for some GPs (just if it gives some opportunity to speak about bike racing ) The system is the sum of points for race results, fastest laps and grid position, according to this scheme: Race result: 8 - 4 - 2 - 1 Fastest race lap: 4 - 2 - 1 Grid position: 2 - 1 So, in Jerez we get: 125cc: Baut 11 ** Pesek 8 * Pasi 4 JSim 1 Kall 1 250cc: Lore 11 ** Ange 6 * Barb 4 Taka 2 Dovi 2 MotoGP: Capi 14 ** Pedr 6 Hayd 3 Gibe 1 Elias 1 In general terms, I subjectively agree with those points, except I would put Capirossi and Pedrosa closer. The only significant difference with FIM official positions is Barbera was 5th(?) in race and he is 3rd here, reflecting he was the fastest lap in race, so I think he showed a nice speed around Jerez. |
