How are you getting to Le Mans?

bonjour.

well the big day seems to be drawing closer and closer by the second and although there is a good 7 and a half months left to go im already all excited.

so how is everybody getting down to lemans are you going on the train or on a coach tour?

or are you going by car in your normal car or will you be taking out your pride and joy to show off at the sarthe?

to get the ball rolling i will either be going by train, or i will be driving there in my blue peugeot 106 1.1 i might throw some transfers on it to support peugeot's lemans effort .

well thats me done in 7 months time look for a blue peugeot 106 with a big lemans 24 hours logo on the bonnet!

The group I was supposed to be going with in 2006 went in that lovely bizarre Pinzgauer. That's since been sold, but I'm willing to bet some other crazy machine will have our names on for LM '07!

Think we're probably flying and training it to Le Mans and apparently using the new tram system if it's ready.

I don't have a ticket yet but I'm thinking of buying a campervan. I'd really like to see Le Tour after Le Mans and I can't think of much better way to do it all
I haven't looked into taking a campervan into the LeMans camping areas yet.

We flew and rent-a-drove it this year but it turned out to be super expensive. '07 we'll ferry direct from Ireland and drive the rest using my car.

So look out for a silver Toyota Celica GT with Irish plates. Chances are it will have Hollywood and Mullan written somewhere on it. We've yet to decide if we're actually that sad!

I am not sure yet. It really is going to depend on how many, if any, of my mates want to go along.

I will probably drive or take a train from Portugal.

Our group this year is divided between the camping-goers and the hotel-goers but I think we will still be driving. First we gather in the A2 between Amsterdam and Utrecht at the Shell station and then we do the classical Utrecht-Breda-Antwerp-Gantt-Lille-Paris (ugh!!)-and then A10-A11 to Le Mans. My black S60t% will be there, the other cars still unconfirmed...

Our group of first timers are flying in from Toronto to CDG, and renting a car. The drive is pretty straightforward - once you're out of Paris, anyway...

That reminds me to call 'shotgun' for the passenger seat in my mate's Roush Mustang.

Six months to go, not seven
I'll be there in June in my 1998 BMW 735i , used daily, but still a pride and joy . Only 280 kms from home to the circuit
See you there in June, NOT July

Paul, having attended my first tenths wine tasting session this year, it's highly recommended to go along! And always good to put some more faces to names, too.

I'm going in my old mans RX7 again, unless we get the VW camper sorted and go in that for the 2nd time. The RX is nice (and fast), but the camper has a fridge. A fridge that can be filled full with Beer......
