pete55 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
One way to do it.

When a new model is introduced i feel all teams running that make of car should be involved in the whole design and testing process. I feel they should also be given drawings etc of all aspects of the car as they are tested and then be able to build their cars much sooner and be better prepared at the start of the season.

Totally agree... and the drivers should be able to run in the new chassis as well, to understand what the differences are from their existing steed.

But that would take away from the encumbents, make it easier for the new boys - no chance as it is a far too level a playing field.

In the old days, Holden Motorsport did not run teams, they just homologated components... it is only now that this has become clouded...

Old man walkingshaw isn't that competative on a level playing field, so I doubt he'd go for it......

well according to HMS they had all the teams involved in design but the homologation was done by uncle Tom Walkinshoddy, i remember reading an article with this in it but can't find it now.
