Bluewolf has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Go Marco!!! ----> And then go to F1

I'd love to see Marco win the championship this year -- it would be a great feather in his cap and also a great recommendation for him to go to F1.

Yeah it would be. But he really has to as well... or at the very least he has beat his teammates on the road courses. Kanaan and Franchitti are pretty good markers for talent, strong drivers that aren't quite good enough to be frontrunners in F1. Marco will have to prove he's better than them to justify a place in F1.

OTOH maybe he only has to be as good as Scott Speed!

Actually we'll never know if Kanaan or Franchitti could be frontrunners in F1 as they were never given even a single season in F1 -- Perhaps either or both would have been world champion - perhaps they would've both failed -- we'll never know.

Franchitti could probably have been an F1 frontrunner at one time in his career. He pushed Montoya very hard in 1999 (although ultimately was a fair bit slower I suppose). He also tested for Jaguar in 2000 and did OK?

But since he started getting injuries, it has fallen apart.

Marco is very young and yet to fully develop as a driver, I have no doubt he'll one day be in position to do well in F1. It just depends if the somewhat head-up-bottoms, insulated F1 fraternity wants to give an IRL guy a shot. It might be that he has to do a season in GP2 first.

Leighton Irwin should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Whatever Honda wants Marco will get. It may not be the best ride but it is the most likely way it will go.

Marco was giving a good account of himself among much more experieinced company today, for sure. While he has Honda smiling upon him, which doesn't hurt, he does indeed have the talent to be considered for a future in F1.

Dario does not look to be anywhere near "falling apart" coming back from a lap down.

Don't think Marco did enough in this race to impress anybody. Kanaan coming from the back of the pack to finish in front of him (and Dario right behind) doesn't look all that great. Although AGR clearly made a mistake taking Marco off sequence when he had good track position. Suggests they didn't have faith in his pace and were trying to get lucky with the yellows (again).

Would be sad to see him fall like Michael in 93...
and IRL Oval racing is really one of the worst things to specify if a driver would be talented for F1..
sorry but ChampCar would have been the better choice if he don´t want to do NASCAR in the future, and a GP2 season with good results.. at least...

I think, if he´s not only an Andretti, but also fast and focused, it would be just great seeing him and Graham Rahal helping the US Open Wheelers to new glory rather then beeing one of hundred F1-loosers.

Marco got a long career ahead but if he's going to compete in F1, then he'll need more road circuit experience. perhaps a couple of A1GP appearances aswell as champ cars could help Marco's cause
