Hmmm. Design fault? Seems like it to me, as it afflicted just about EVERY 997 GT2 car out there.

Congratulations on the podium finish. You all looked happy to be up there.
I take it the team manager was happy. He stalked past us at the paddock , and just held up TEN fingers to the nice ladies in the bar... then started passing them out to the mechanics!

Out comes the old DIY fibre-glass repair kit !!! ..... Im sure a lot of cars take a severe battering in that general area ..... wonder why it wasnt "fixed" before ?

Cheers for that Sean , and congradulations on a fine 3rd place . Maybe an outing at Le Mans for you next year ?

911 GT1 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid

Nothing else though...afaik
In Spa you always carry the ballast of the GT-Bureau (all Maserati plus 25KG, GT2 with more than one professional driver +28 KG) but not the success ballast from previous races.

I have to type this or my brain will explode!

SportAutoMoto reports today that Audi will join the GT2 class with the R8, for sure in the 2008.
Any details about ?

Thanks for reading, you've been a wonderful audience. Don't forget to try the veal and tip your waitress. We now return you to the topic

So All-Inkl still hold entries 7&8, and presumably the points, while Reiter gets to start all over again with a new number 28?
Seems odd to me, but if it keeps the 2 screamers in the field, it gets my vote.

Correct. ALL-INKL.COM = #7/#8, all points collected until now
Reiter Engineering = #28, no points

It got part way to its destination and broke down, before changing its number and losing its points.

it would be nice,i think.

back to the race thread: Van de Poele- villain because he threw it away, or hero because he's won loads before?

I would say that Van de Poele is neither. The Carsport Holland C6R was really the most dominant car of the race and just seemed to be destined to win. Fassler, Hezemans and Gollin were all driving remarkably fast and consistent lap times while Deletraz was solid and didn't make any mistakes. In the end, every car had good and bad breaks and they all were equal in the end. If it didn't rain as much, my guess is Carsport would have won handily.
