Great event, they should hold more night races in the FIA GT.

Congrats to Wendlinger and Sharp!

Yeah, the night race was pretty good - not great for the cameras, hard to avoid a lot of headlight glare!

'mon the #33 Aston!

But the onboard camera's sure made up for that. Nothing beats the Vette onborad, the raw thunder gives you the chills.

I'd say the Aston onboards beats that with ease! The scream of the V12 is just insane!

They were all pretty good, although the cameras weren't great at picking up light, sometimes all we could see was black - but generally quite good

I can certainly dig that but the Vette's engine just reminds you why those cars are muscle cars. In real life they sound even better.

Hehe. I forgot to put a note in here.

Good race though.

Oh, also...AF Corse with that 1-2 have wrapped up the teams championship, unless BMS can magic up another Porsche somewhere and 1-2 all the remaining races with it

Race results list the #62 Scuderia Ecosse as excluded, they're not even listed on the official results. What's the reasoning behind this now?

Presumably for not making two stops.

Turner stopped for the second mandatory stop on the last lap, changed to Mullen and the car headed down the pits to rejoin the track as Malucelli passed for 3rd.

It couldn't rejoin the track as the pit exit was closed. Also, well, that's too late to make a stop - if Ecosse's pit was actually ahead of the start finish line it may have allowed them to steal 3rd before disqualification anyway.

As it was, they'd have finished 4th if they just pitted properly a lap or two earlier - dumb move.

Enge will join Miro Konopka 'RBImmo' team, so the Saleen will be in GT1, not in Citation Cup

I'm confused where Miro Konopka comes into that equation, I was under the impression it was a separate team (certainly with Franz Konrad's involvement). Konopka isn't one of the drivers, and the team is Austrian (Konopka is Slovak). Possibly 2 different Saleens being dealt with here?

Kofler's name came up in connection with a Konrad Saleen earlier this year, did it not?

For reference, Konopka's previous entries have been under the Auto Racing Club (ARC) Bratislava banner.

The E.I. story says that the Konopka car is a second S7R at Brno

Let us point out that another S7-R ex-Konrad will be present at Brno, that engaged by Miro Konopka (see here).

That's what I thought it was, but I was translating myself and my French is a little rusty. Mostly I was responding to mirkob's post.

Sorry for the confusion, there will be a second S7R, by RBImmo.
The project is also for 2008, with e second car in the Citation Cup

Sorry again (I edited the post, but dont'see the correction)

Awsome! Finally the S7Rs are starting to come back!

And also nice to see teams already planing ahead of 2008. Time for a FIA-GT 2008 rumores thread?
