Melchester Racing's Radical Plans
Daily Sportscar have broken the news that Melchester Racing's plans to join the prototype ranks in ACO rules racing are close to reality........
The aim is to run two Radical SR9's in the Le Mans Series this year, one purchased from Radical and the second being the Rollcentre car which is for sale. Furthermore, ‘Melchester and Radical are also striving to put together a deal to run at least one SR9 in LMP1 guise, running on clean bio-fuel and to this end Radical will also apply for an invitation for an entry into the Le Mans 24 Hour race in June’. (Hope Malcolm doesn't mind me lifting that statement direct from the DSC article?) Fantastic news! |

Autosport are running an article on page 25 - they are saying that Melchester intend to run the Judd-Ricardo Diesel for the 2008 season.......aparrentlt going green is a good "hook" for potential sponsors........theres talk of running 4 cars!....two LMP1 and two LMP2......would be nice to see it all happen - best of luck.

They were a very serious team in the late 70's winning the Aurora AFX British F1 championship with Tony Trimmer.

Another sportscar team is always good news.
But does the LMS have room? |
