Photo of front
It defintly had a Chevron Chassis tag and emblems on the body work. Here is a photo of the front. The car was here in the States from 1987 to 1989. I have no clue of its where abouts currently.
The chassis was purchased as a roller and we puchased a "championship engine" that lasted only a pratice day and one warmup lap. I can not remember fully, if the chassis tag stated B56 or 64. I could never find anyone that had information about the car or was willing to discuss. Do you have photo's of the spare chassis to share? Last edited by quest; 8 Jan 2008 at 22:57. |

From memory the 'B64' was an FAt Roger A advertised for sale after he bought Chevron from Robin Smith. That would be 1983-84-85ish. No idea whether this was indeed a brand new car/design, or one built around the
B56?? Again, OTOH, one was exported to the US. This one I guess |

Time line sounds close

That would fit the time frame. This chassis was fitted with a Hewland Ft200 gearbox and the BDA dropped right in. After going thru the car, my biggest concern was the deflection of the front bulkhead where the master cylinders attached. You could flex the bulkhead .250" or more without much force applied. The last I heard the car was in Connecticut. Last edited by quest; 10 Jan 2008 at 02:37. |
