McLaren Project 6
Not much is known about this Gordon Murray designed car. The radiator intakes were located under the car, i think similar to the Lola B98/10 and the data from the wind tunnel were better compared to the rivals.
Does anybody know more about this project? Are there any renderings, model pics or something like that? Best regards Markus |

There was a grainy picture in an Autosport feature a while back, of the wind tunnel model, but it never ran and as far as I know, was never built? It looks like what LMP1 would 5 or 6 years on- it was WAY ahead of its time.

Project 6
Here is an early sketch of the Macca project. It does remind me of something but I can't quite put my finger on it. I doubt it will ever see the light of day. |

Thats because that is a Ferrari Enzo.
This McLaren I beleive was an open top LMP1 prototype. I have the Autosport issue here somewhere, was a feature on sportscars that never raced. |

I have that Autosport issue lying around somewhere too, and in an issue of Motorsport a few months back Gordon Murray was interviewed and did mention the projects with McLaren, although I can't quite recall what was said right now... |
