The smellchecker fell foul of the worm processor.

My favourite Ferrari? The 250GT SWB.

Particularly Stirling Moss' TT winning car, royal blue with Rob Walker's white stripe on the nose. Not sure why - perhaps because red Ferraris are a bit obvious for me, perhaps because my first Matchbox car as a toddler was a green 250GT Berlinetta with cast "wire" wheels, perhaps because of the anecdote about Stirling not trusting the pitboards, so he tuned the radio in the fully road-equipped car to listen to Raymond Baxter's commentary while he was racing.

Honourable mentions also for
250GT "Breadvan"
GTO Drogo special
750 Monza - such a pretty car

The most beautiful Ferrari in my opinion is the Ferrari 250 Le Mans, designed by Pininfarina.
It's a GT car which was very rarely seen on the road.
Optical as well as technical it was very advanced with its tunnel roof which caused a down pressure. (sorry, Im not that technical and don't know the English words to accurately describe it).

But the Ferrari with the nicest story is the Ferrari 250 GTO from 1962.
In that year the FIA declared the GT-Championship an official Sports Car Championship.
One of the rules said the car must have been produced in a series of at least 100 vehicles.
Ferrari didn't have the time and the intention to produce that many cars and he simply used a 250 GT Short Wheel Base car as a starting point because the FIA allowed minor changes to an already excisting model.
Ferrari renewed the chassis with the help of Giotto Bizzarrini and changed the frame and the axles (?) and fooled the FIA by telling them those were minor changes.
When the car was approved Ferrari promptly added an 'O' to the 250 GT for 'omologato.'

And no one mentioned the '67 330 P4? If I have to explain why then there is no helping you!

And for the road a Daytona Spider, I know just the one, its been in garage just outside Guildford (Bramley) for at least the past 6 years. Anyone lend me a million or so?

Finally a '62 250 GTO, just for special occasions.

What do you think of the 250 GT SWB then. To me a much more usable piece of kit. And so much better looking.

Well, I can't say I've any experience of the Spider, but the Coupe drives like a bus.

Admittedly, a very, very fast bus, but nonetheless....

I'll stick with the Aston.

I actually had to go away and give this some serious consideration... and my first and final answer will be:

F360

The 330 P4, has to have the most senuous curves of any specialist racing car (maybe the XJ13 came close but this is about Ferrari's.

As for the Daytona Spider, it maybe a bus, but its a bus I've wanted since I was six, so I can't help that, and I do happen to think the Spider is prettier than the Coupe.

As for 250's, GTO or SWB, I just think the GTO is a much finer looking car, and I'm looking foward to seeing loads of them at Coys in a couple of weeks time.
