Perhaps a BBC how to make pancake session with Bruno Senna could be on the cards?

Bruno Senna is talking to Mercedes with possibilities remaining that the Brazilian could switch to German touring car series DTM after missing out on a Formula 1 opportunity with the ex-Honda team. Senna has long been favourite to take the seat alongside Jenson Button until both the team and Rubens Barrichello revealed this week that a deal between the two parties is all but confirmed.

They are personal sponsors or partners which doesn't mean they would give cash for a team in order to have him driving, I believe that it works the other way. Sometime ago, you'll have to look for old interviews, Bruno said that they wanted (the F1 teams) wanted him to bring $14 millions to get a seat and he never had that money. It was in the end of the season, when he, DiGrassi and RB were trying to find a seat. The Petrobras thing has been on since, but I always said that it was not the case. Petrobras was never a sponsor in Williams but a technical partner and its possible partnership with Honda would be in the same way. That means that they would never bring money to the team.

I'm glad to see Rubens get another go. I think he deserves it, afterall he outscored his teammate last season.
But think its a shame Bruno isn't going to get an opportunity this season. It does seem odd to only have one new driver graduate and even odder that it was given to someone who could only finish 6th in his championship last season. Someone asked whether Bruno had done enough to be in F1 but I think he's done more than Buemi personally. Will be interesting to see how Buemi goes but I think Bruno would have been more deserving of the Torro Rosso seat. |

Good news for Barrichello, and a sensible decision for the team; considering the off-season they've had and the rule changes that are coming into force this year, it's not the best time for them to be bringing in a rookie. But I do think it's a shame that there won't be more new drivers on the grid this year - surely 2009 must have the least number of rookies of any season in recent years?

Its good news for RB. Jense will have to really push this year. If he is beaten again by Rubens then his stock will plummet, especially since Rubens is not, imo, one of the quickest racers. I think this car will suit JB a bit more anyway so the competition between the two may not be as close as last year.
For the team it will be good too, there is continuity and Ross knows RB well. It seems to me that Honda was ready to get rid of RB but now that Ross is in charge things have changed. |

Rubens is a safe pair of hands, he knows the team and the team know him, perfect choice for in Brawn GP's current circumstances.
