If you get links with other sites, you get more traffic. It's one of the ways sites get found by internet users.

Pete, Shows you don't read the CSCC newsletters, cos last year I put something in the newsletter about thegrid. A mate & I set it up last year to cover club motor racing on the internet, sort of an online magazine, (they're called e-zines). We put in news, race reports, ads, etc. We go from club racing like the CSCC, MGs, etc up to GTs & NSC. A number of people/clubs send news & repotrs, which we usually put in. From the CSCC we've got Tony Davies, (Thunder Firenza), & some guy called Cowley, (RX7), who send us reports regularly, (think IC is the Spin Doctor). We have both individuals reports & general race reports. Some clubs can't/don't send reports, cos publicity is a lot of work. If anyone wants to send me some stuff, please do.

Yep.
That's what I thought it was. Anybody here convinced that websites really hit the spot or do we all still need to rely on good old paper? I'm building my own domain at present for possible business use. So this info might be useful. I'm talking information rather than selling reasons. |

Autosport sell a lot less than 100,000 copies a week, their web page gets many more hits than this. Web sites will be the way to go for a lot of things. Especially when it goes onto tvs & people don't need to sit at computer to access it, (lean backward access, rather than lean forward). In the IT industry at the moment it's the big growth area. It's here to stay, (& grow). But, I still believe paper will be around for a long time.

Awwww cheers Marcus!
I MAY just put one on my links page too... Cheques to the usual address. (By the way, I have a proper link to Ten-Tenths on my site... £20 per month should cover 'upkeep' costs...) |
