If you search there were some threads on this last year. As marshals we are on the marshals campsite, the area is very noisy though, I wouldn't expect to get much sleep (you do get surprisingly used to it after a couple of nights though!)

For the past few years I've camped in the Windmill campsite - just behind the pit straights, right next to the Marshal's campsite - best bit it's only £15 a night and you just turn up - no booking needed...

There aren't any real facilities to speak of except toilets, but then it is cheap......and it's only 2 minute walk to the circuit and the beer tents etc....

Thats the first come first serve one isnt it?

Ingsy should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Hello - I realise this is an old thread, but thought I'd keep stuff all together. I'm going to the BGP this year and am looking into camping - I've narrowed it down to Whittlebury Park and Silverstone Golf Club - due to the fact I won't be getting there until Friday, and so want to know I've got a place booked. Plus they look to be very close to the circuit (I have GA tickets).

Has anyone stayed at either (or preferabbly both!) of these and can give me any pointers as to which would be better?

Cheers.

Hi,I have stopped at golf club for previous 2 years and found it very camper friendly, depending on where you are going on circuit can be a long walk through car park to Circuit, but this was not a problem for me. you get allocated plenty of room for a big tent and car/cars, food is alright in club house too.

Cheers Jim. Will give them a call to see if they have any spaces left. Got a few other queries too.
