I know someone on here will have the answers!!

Venturing north for the BTCC over the weekend 13th/14th June, one circuit Sue and I havent been to before. Is there a marshals campsite and if so where is it and what facilities are there?

Have also heard there is a marshals BAR-B-Q,who do we need to contact and pay our money too?

marshal's camping is on the airfield situated about 50 metres from sign-on port-a-kabin. permanent toilets & showers about same distance away. temp. toilets usually closer with possibly one or two within the campsite. usual outside catering vans (hot rolls, chips, roast hog rolls, possibly noodle bar and a bar) on site.
Marshalgirli (see this site) is the contact for the BBQ.
local pub (Chequers Inn) about 3/4 mile away. gets crowded inthe evenings and watch out for the boy racers on the narrow public raod.
Cautions:
marshals camplsite is only segregated from public car park by 3 foot high chestnut fence, so security of personal possessions when not in the camp is important.
teams, motorhomes, catering units tend to cause the water supply to dry up early, so don't expect to get a shower on the Sunday evening before heading home.
Great circuit, great crowd of local marshals, you'll enjoy.

No problem about sunday night showers coz we arent leaving till Monday morning....that apart we are pretty self sufficient, can we assume marshals campsite will be open friday afternoon so we can inhabit?

circuit will be open for support races testing on Friday. security should be on duty if not, Croft circuit staff will be there and probably already moved their caravans onto airfield (situated on right on main entrance). Eric & Margaret Crabtree are probably best circuit folk to speak to. Eric will be in the hiab recovery vehicle stationed at turn 1

As for camping my parents will be there from Thursday evening til monday morning, the circuit allows you onto the airfield from then. Ill send you contact details so if you have any problems you can call one of us!

Feel free to visit the inmates on friday afternoon

I have a blue MG with private plates and there will be a section of around 8 caravans with a mulitude of flags around it.

As Ty said a lovely circuit and a great bunch of local marshals

yep would love to visit the inmates Friday night, you can pick our tent out, underneath the flying Royal Standard flag denoting Sue is in residence!! We will as ever be armed with very full wine buckets....oops glasses!!
