Great pictures, Jeff.
That was quick - the event's not two days gone. You could have knocked me down with a feather when I saw the 917/10 in the paddock on Friday. That's another machine I can tick in my "dream of seeing racing" list. I was delighted too to see the Aston 215 back, after a two year rebuild. I'm just amazed that after restoring it from a crumpled wreck, they chose to give it to David Leslie, an ex BTCC driver, to play with for the weekend. |

Excellent mate.
Which were taken with the digital? Why do your photos have like a ring of dark around them? Is that a filter or something? I hear Mansell didn't drive the FW14B like I'd heard a while back, and that he only drove a not-on-song Lotus 79. |

Where did you stand to take those pictures? Did you have a press pass? Lucky sod.

Cheers guys,
Nigel drove his old Lotus 79. It wasn't behaving on Saturday apparently but it wasn't too bad on Sunday, it only had be towed back in on one occassion out of three demonstrations. Pictures to follow. On his last run he did donuts before coming into the pit straight! No press pass unfortunately. Some were taken from half way up the stand at the start/finish over the catch fencing with my 400mm lens. The others were taken over the fencing at Luffield's exit Don't know about the rings, didn't really notice them, they're certainly not on my prints. All the racing shots are taken with my normal SLR. I will try out the new digital SLR's when they come in during August. |
