Aussie Group C Touring Car fire at Sandown

They had a small problem over the weekend at the Historic meeting at Sandown.

Car lost it on oil dropped by a car just in front lunching an engine.

There is also footage on YouTube which includes two of the marshals radio channels from the tracks monitoring and logging system.

Posting this mainly to share it to the wider marshalling community as a pretty good example of a well handled incident.

Well done, guys. A fire after an impact is always a tricky thing to deal with since the fuel can be coming from anywhere. Looked like quite an impact too - they're going pretty quickly into that chicane, aren't they?

Excellent work.
