Aussie Group C Touring Car fire at Sandown
They had a small problem over the weekend at the Historic meeting at Sandown.
Car lost it on oil dropped by a car just in front lunching an engine. There is also footage on YouTube which includes two of the marshals radio channels from the tracks monitoring and logging system. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l24hW7A8lso Posting this mainly to share it to the wider marshalling community as a pretty good example of a well handled incident. |

Well done, guys. A fire after an impact is always a tricky thing to deal with since the fuel can be coming from anywhere. Looked like quite an impact too - they're going pretty quickly into that chicane, aren't they?
Excellent work. |
