Yes, definitely a good move. I would suggest perhaps 2 of them being drivers, with each known to have had different approaches in their racing careers.

Panis, Alesi, Frentzen, Hebert - those are the kind of people who I'd like to see as stewards. Most of them still race but with a rotating scedule that'd be a minor problem. Anyway, if this is a sign of things to come (including removing Alan Donnelly) Todt's rule might be a quite decent one.

Will this only apply to F1, or will other FIA series have driver-stewards (or did they, as usual, forget that anything outside F1 exists?)
