Id Say Japan 05 for Kimi's move on Fisi or Imola 2001 Ralfs first win and the crocodile train behind Trulli that all started overtaking each other at rivatsa.

I would personally rate Brazil 2007 as being more exciting than Brazil 2008. Sadly the last race of this year will again be Abu Dhabi, so we are set for another boredomfest in a zone with no motorsport culture or passion to close the year on. I have seen nothing to make me alter my original wish to go back to Brands in 1976, this time armed more with common sense than beers and an impromptu scaffolding grandstand my colleagues and I built and sat on. (Until T1 when it collapsed as we leant forward to see the carrying on at Paddock......) Last edited by E.B; 17 Aug 2010 at 12:22. |

You may be referring to a Friday practice session where Villeneuve was (depending who you believe) between 5 and nine (and now your 11!) seconds facter than the other 2 TWO drivers who went out for a "sighting session". This is precisely how these crazy stories become "fact" |

The one I would like to see is the greatest F1 driver ever Jim Clark stroming through the field at Monza in 1967. Had the privelege to see this man many times in the Tasman Series as a kid. Genius

1985 Portugese Grand Prix. To see the "rain master" Senna at work there.
I would also add any race at the great Österreichring Maybe the 1987 race there. |

I was 11 years old in 1979, the internet hadn't been established for anything but military use and there was no coverage of the race that I remember. Grand Prix didn't start on BBC2 till 1982. So any information of that period I had read courtesy of others. Still as Mr Fielden so skilfully put it, I'm brutally owned apparently. Still life goes on |

EASY. Spa 1998. I t had it all. I stood in the rain for hours and loved every moment of it. I met Hill some years after and he told me how much he had enjoyed that race. I bet EJ would say the same.

purely from an emotional response, I would have liked to have been at the 1978 Canadian GP, just to have been there for GVs win. Went with friends in 79, 80 and or 81 but it would have been neat to have been there for the opening of the track and the hometown boy win. I think it was in 80 it was just freezing, had to wear a toque and mitts, October I think. I think they finally figured out it wasnt a good month for a race and then put it to June where its been ever since (Bernie shinanigans notwithstanding)

Well, I was at the 1992 Belgian GP at Spa. It didn't feel like it would turn out to become such a historic race then, but it was great to be there. I wouldn't want to choose any other Grand Prix in history. I guess I've been lucky :-)

But no TV digital record
Monaco 1970. Did I imagine it or for the last few laps was Rindt on totally opposite lock over the bumps coming out of Casino Square?
